Currently, the admission portal for MBA courses at Sikkim Manipal Institute of Technology is open; candidates can apply for the course through the official website of the college. Moreover, for admissions, candidates must complete their bachelor's degree with a minimum aggregate of 50%. Therefore, candidates who are waiting for the results of their bachelor's degree apply provisionally for the course and can upload the documents related to graduation results afterwards. The institute accepts the valid scores of CAT/ MAT/ University Level Entrance Test.

The basic eligibility criteria required by the institute to get admissions into MBA course is candidates must complete their bachelor's degree from any stream with a minimum aggregate of 50% and 45% for reserved category candidates. Moreover, for admissions confirmation the institute accepts the relevant scores of CAT/ MAT/ University Level Entrance Test. Further, the selection process is based group discussion followed by a PI.

The seats for MCA courses offered by SMIT can be secured only by merit in the last qualifying examination. SMIT, Sikkim, has no agents or middlemen for admissions. There is no donation or capitation fee of any kind. There are no management seats too for MCA coursres. Candidates are advised to apply directly to the institute through online or offline mode. They are cautioned against going through any agents.

To get a PG scholarship at SMIT, Manipal University, MCA students are required to achieve good grades in their BCA/BSc (Computer Science)/ BSc. IT/BE (CSE)/BTech (CSE)/BE (IT)/BTech IT or any graduation degree (BCom/BA/BVoc/etc.), preferably with Mathematics.
