SCTIMST Trivandrum offers MD and MS specialisations for the candidates seeking to get admission. It is indeed possible for you as a graduate in BSc Chemistry to apply for the Postgraduate Diploma in Cardiovascular Technology at Sree Chitra Tirunal Institute for Medical Sciences and Technology. The course is for 2 years with an intake of 10 students per year. The selection procedure is done through a written test and interview, with an application fee of INR 1,500. No, there is no provision for direct admission to the MD course of SCTIMST Trivandrum. The admission to the course is strictly entrance-based. The institute accepts admission through INI-CET counselling conducted by AIIMS New Delhi. To be eligible for the counselling processs, candidates must have appeared for the INI-CET exam. Additionally, candidates must fulfil the preset eligibility and age criteria.

Every year, SCTIMST Trivandrum accepts MD admissions in two sessions: the January session and the July session. MD aspirants are required to appear for the INI-CET exam conducted by AIIMS, New Delhi. The application process for the January session of INI-CET usually takes place between September and October of the preceeding year. Candidates willing to take admission in the July session can apply between March and April. Candidates are advised to check the official exam website for exact admission schedule.
