In each course offered at the institute, some seats are reserved for candidates belonging to the SC, ST, OBC, EWS and PWD categories. The number of seats reserved for these categories may vary over the years as some reserved seats are rotated over two consectuive years among the course specialisations offered at the institute. If the reserved seats are found vacant, they are allotted eligible unreserved (UR) category candidates.
