The following are the requirements for eligibility to the DM programme in neuroradiology at SCTIMST, Trivandrum:

  1. MD in radiodiagnosis from an Indian university accredited by the National Medical Board (DNB) or the former MCI/National Medical Commission (NMC).
  2. At the time of admission to SCTIMST, the candidate must have applied for and secured registration with Travancore Cochin Medical (TCMC).

The placement details for 2023 have not yet been made public by SCTIMST Trivandrum and KS Hegde Medical Academy. However, the NIRF report for 2023 is available.

In the SCTIMST Trivandrum placements of 2022, 68 PG (2-year) and 27 PG (3-year) students were placed, according to the report. For PG (2-year) students, the median package provided for SCTIMST Trivandrum placements was INR 5.04 LPA, and for PG (3-year) students, it was INR 2.64 LPA.

The search results indicate that the National Institute of Mental Health and Neurosciences is less expensive than SCTIMST, Trivandrum. Comparing the fees of DM courses in SCTIMST, Trivandrum with the National Institute of Mental Health and Neurosciences, the SCTIMST, Trivandrum fee for DM course is INR 2.8 Lakhs while the National Institute of Mental Health and Neurosciences' fee is INR 1.6 Lakhs. 

Similarly, MD costs INR 1.8 Lakhs at SCTIMST, Trivandrum, and INR 1.5 Lakhs at the National Institute of Mental Health and Neurosciences.

The MD selection procedure at SCTIMST, Trivandrum, is conducted based on NEET-PG scores. Applicants must achieve at least the minimum qualifying percentile on the NEET-PG test to be considered for admission to SCTIMST's MD programs. SCTIMST, Trivandrum accepts entrance exam scores for various courses.

PG Diploma Admissions: candidates need to attend the INI-SS entrance exam and meet the minimum score requirements to secure a minimum of 50% in the objective-type written examination.

MD/MS/MCh/DM/MDS/PDCC:  the INI CET exam score.  Candidates are ranked listed based on the scores obtained in departmental examinations. 

Ph.D. Program: selection is done based on a written test and interview, with specific criteria for medical graduates.

Yes, you can enroll in SCTIMST, Trivandrum's Postgraduate Diploma in Neurotechnology programme with a 60% BSc. A B.Sc. in Physics, Chemistry, Biology, Biotechnology, or Computer Science from any accredited university with a cumulative GPA of at least 60% is required to be eligible for the program. Therefore, you meet the minimum academic requirements for the program.

The selection of candidates for the course is through counseling, based on the rank list of the entrance examination of the INI-SS (National Importance - Super Specialty) conducted by AIIMS, New Delhi. SCTIMST, Trivandrum cutoff 2024 for INI CET 2024 Jan session is out for Round 2. The dates for the 2024 NEET UG test have been released for those interested in MBBS and BDS programs.
