As a popular programme, SRM IST BTech is offered for the duration of 4 years, across 40 specialisations along with part-time BTech courses in four specialisations.  Some of the offered course specialisations are Civil Engineering, CSE, Mechanical Engineering,  Aerospace Engineering, etc. SRM University BTech admission is subject to a valid score obtained by the students in Class 12 and SRMJEEE (conducted by the deemed-to-be university). SRM IST ranks 4 by Outlook 2023 under the Engineering category, proving it to be a good institute to pursue BTech from.

SRM IST MBA is one of the popular courses, offered in PG level, for the duration of 2 years. The Institute offers MBA based on minimum aggregate of 50% in graduation and valid scores of accepted entrance exams such as MAT, CAT, NMAT, CMAT and equivalent others. As per the last placement record, SRM IST recorded an average package of INR 4.5 LPA to INR 5.1 LPA. SRM IST offers BTech as a 4 year UG level programme.
