Yes, SRM accepts admission in M.Tech without GATE entrance examination, however, instead of GATE, one needs to appear in the SRMJEE (PG) examination for pursuing M.Tech in SRM Kattankulathur and TANCET or SRMJEE (PG) examination for SRM Ramapuram. You can choose between both the examination, depending upon your choice of campus and exam.

The admissions to SRM University Delhi NCR are entrance-based as well as merit-based. Entrance exams like SRMJEEE, JEE Main, NEET, or SRMHCAT are required for most courses, but the admissions office considers merit-based admissions for those candidates with extraordinary academic performance or on certain conditions. SRM University Delhi NCR takes students for admissions based on entrance exams. However, it can provide direct admission under management quota or merit-based criteria or if seats are vacant. Such admissions usually require extra fees. Make sure that you meet the eligibility criteria for your preferred course.

When choosing between VIT, SRM, and UPES for a B.Tech in food technology, you can consider factors such as research, specialization, and practical learning.
One of my fried is studying at UPES and its B.Tech in food technology programme at the School of Health Sciences and Technology offers specializations like food biotechnology and food plant engineering. The programme includes hands-on training, industrial visits, and a thesis support process. Students receive scientific writing training, followed by six months of research and thesis support as well.

Admission to VIT-AP University and SRM University for B.Tech programs is primarily through their respective entrance exams. VIT-AP requires candidates to qualify in the VIT Engineering Entrance Examination (VITEEE) for B.Tech admissions.Currently, VIT-AP does not offer lateral entry admissions through Andhra Pradesh ECET
SRM University conducts the SRM Joint Engineering Entrance Examination (SRMJEEE) for B.Tech admissions.
While some SRM campuses offer lateral entry programs, admission is typically based on their own entrance exams rather than Andhra Pradesh ECET scores.

First of all, candidates have to apply online by filling out the application form on the official website of the institute at the beginning of the application process.
After an application form is submitted, students may have to sit for entrance examinations or an interview depending on the preference of the university.
Time of such application is mostly around May and will close by the end of June, although there may be exceptions from year to year.
Therefore, the university's application opening and closing dates should be verified with the official site of the university for the most accurate and updated information.
