The final SSC CHSL vacancy list is released by the Commission in accordance with the vacancies reported by the Indenting Departments/ Organizations. The final vacancy list is prepared post-wise and category-wise. The Commission does not play any role in fixing the number of vacancies or implementation of reservation policy or earmarking vacancies for different categories.

The Commission has notified a total of 4,522 vacancies for the LDC/ JSA/ JPA & DEO post as on May 19, 2023 under the SSC CHSL 2022 exam process. The vacancies have been notified based on the request made by indenting departments or ministries. It may be note here that the State-wise or Zone-wise vacancies are not collected by the Commission.

The maximum number of the SSC CHSL vacancies are usually released for the reserved category, that is, General. The Commission makes the selection of candidates based on the vacancies reported by the Indenting Departments/ Organizations. The Commission does not have any role in deciding the number of vacancies of any Indenting Department/ Organization. The implementation of reservation policy,  maintaining reservation roster, earmarking of vacancies for different categories and identification of stability of post for suitable for various benchmarked disabilities are also under the domain of the Indenting Departments/ Organizations.

No, the number of SSC CHSL vacancies varies for the reserved category (General) and reserved categories- Scheduled Caste (SC)/ Scheduled Tries (ST)/ Other Backward Classes (OBC)/ Physically Handicapped (PH)/ Economical Weaker Section (EWS). The vacancies for the reserved category are fixed as per the norms and rules.

No, the number of SSC CHSL vacancies varies for all the post including Lower Division Clerk/ Junior Secretariat Assistant, and Data Entry Operators. The number of vacancies to these post are notified by the Staff Selection Commission (SSC) based on the request made by government departments/ ministries or authorities.

The exam conducting body, Staff Selection Commission (SSC) releases CHSL vacancies based on the request made by government bodies and departments. The SSC CHSL vacancies are mentioned in the notification PDF. However, the SSC CHSL notification pdf contains the tentative number of vacancies only. SSC CHSL vacancy list is released during the exam process.

SSC CHSL and banking exams are somewhat different in pattern. Banking require speed and accuracy whereas SSC CHSL require knowledge and speed. Every exam has its own benefits. SSC CHSL preparation cam be do along with some study as selection process time is comparatively long. Whereas banking selection process is shorter. Try to target those exams which are having same exam pattern. Exam like SSC CHSL are more similar to SSC MS/ SSC GD / Railway / Post Office exams. Whereas banking exams like SBI/ IBPS/ RRB/ RBI are more similar in pattern and skills.
