Staff selection commision exam is a national level examination which is taken after 10+2 or after completion of the graduation. The most popular SSC exams are SSC CGL, SSC CHSL, SSC GD, SSC MTS.One can give SSC CHSL exam after 10+2 while other exams required completion of graduation. The eligibilty criteria and post offered after giving each exam is different. The salary after clearing the exam is also different. There is also typing test and personal interview rounds apart from the writen papers. It is done to recruit for the post of ministries and various departments of government of India.

No, Survey Engineering does not directly qualify you for the SSC JE exam. Eligibility criteria for SSC JE educational qualification sets the minimum requirement of a Diploma or Bachelor's degree relevant to the post you are applying for (civil engineering, electrical engineering or mechanical engineering).
