Yes, the Staff Selection Commission (SSC) releases the state-wise SSC GD Constable vacancies during the examination process. The final SSC GD vacancy list is released state-wise, category-wise, post-wise and gender-wise. The SSC GD Constable vacancy is released in two parts I and Part II. Part I comprises SSC GD vacancies for BSF, CSIF, CRPF, SSB, ITPB, AR and SSF. Part II comprises the vacancies for NCB. The SSC GD vacancy is also announced in the official notification. The GD Constable vacancies announced in the notification are given gender-wise for males and females and force-wise.

The SSC GD exam pattern and syllabus was changed in the year 2022. The exam pattern for the SSC GD exam, including the time duration and number of questions, was changed by the Commission. However each year the syllabus will be notified officially. The SSC GD Constable exam comprises a total of 80 objective-type MCQs of two marks each. The SSC GD 2025 syllabus includes General Intelligence and Reasoning, General Knowledge and General Awareness, Elementary Mathematics and English/Hindi. The SSC GD Constable application fee for 2025 is INR 100. However, the SSC GD exam fee is exempted for women, SC, ST and Ex-Servicemen. A candidate is required to pay Rs. 100/- (General and OBC) while filling out the application form for SSC GD 2024-25 whereas SC/ST/Ex-Serviceman/Females are exempted from the application fee. While women candidates and candidates belonging to Scheduled Castes (SC), Scheduled Tribes (ST) and Ex-servicemen (ESM) eligible for reservation are exempted from payment of fee.
