The SSC JE Selection Process was changed in February 2023, not in 2024. The current process involves three stages:
Paper 1: A computer-based test (CBT) assessing General Awareness, Reasoning Ability, and your chosen Engineering field.
Paper 2: Another computer-based test (CBT) focusing on your specific engineering discipline.
Document Verification: Verification of your documents to ensure you meet eligibility requirements.
A key change from before is that the Document Verification (DV) now happens at the intended departments where you might be recruited, instead of SSC regional offices. This aims to expedite the recruitment process.

The ratio of qualified students in the SSC JE test to the total number of candidates that took the exam determines the success rate. Five to six percent of the individuals who took the exam were found to be qualified overall. It is one of the hardest tests in India because of this. Nonetheless, it could change from year to year depending on the degree of difficulty and the quantity of positions that are made available. The SSC JE exam's success rate demonstrates how competitive it is, drawing applicants from all over India to vie for a small number of seats relative to the total number of students who registered for the test.
