Direct admission to St. Francis Institute of Technology, in general, is not available.
Merit admission: The institute adopts primarily merit-based admissions primarily with entrance exams like MHT CET if the candidate belongs to the Maharashtra state and JEE for the others. The entrance exams check the academic aptitude of a candidate or his eligibility for admission.
While there would surely be exceptions in the form of sports quota or management quota, these are generally few in number and come with very strict criteria.

Both institutions have their strengths, the comparison between the two in terms of overall quality for B.Tech programs would require a more in-depth analysis of factors like faculty expertise, infrastructure, industry connections, placement records, and student feedback.
SFIT has received higher ratings from students compared to RGIT, indicating a more favorable perception among students.
Still, according to me, SFIT may be the preferred option due to its infrastructure, placement opportunities, and overall student satisfaction.
