International students at Heidelberg need to submit proof of German language proficiency incase the course one is going for has an instruction language of the same. A few ways to do this for courses requiring level DSH-2 is via the following exams/certificates-
- Deutsches Sprachdiplom there Kultusministerkonferenz, Level 2
- Deutsche Sprachprüfung für then Hochschulzugang, Level 2
- Goethe-Zertifikat C2
- Test Deutsch als Fremdsprache
- telc Deutsch C1 Hochschule certificate

No, Waseda Uni Japan does not have a set limit for the number of international students it accepts. However, it does have a 'quota' or the 'minimum international students it plans to accept' to its schools every year. This is given below for different schools at the university.

The minimum IELTS score students need to study at Waseda University Japan is 6.0. However, this is not applicable on all course. Each programme has its own IELTS score requirement. Students are advised to check the course page for IELTS requirement of the programme they're interested in.
Students can choose not to submit an IELTS score. The university also accepts students with a minimum TOEFL-iBT score of 80.

No, students cannot transfer to Waseda University from their current institution anymore. Only the School of Political Science and Economics (SPSE) used to accept transfer students at the university. However, it has now discontinued transfer admissions from 2026 onwards.
The university accepted transfer students until 2025. But that is not possible anymore.
