The University of British Columbia can be competitive for courses at certain levels like UG and PG. The overall UBC acceptance rate is around 52% but this admission rate varies a lot for both levels.

For the years 2024-25, the UG acceptance rate is 63% which is very different from UBC postgraduate courses as it is 28%. This means that this university is more selective when it comes to Masters level.

Yes, there is a September intake at the University of British Columbia in Canada. This is popularly known as the Fall intake and it is the major intake when many of the UBC courses are offered.

There are two more intakes offered to international students, which are in January and a Summer one as well. however the course selection can be quite limited here.

Yes. Registration is necessary for all international students going to study in Ireland. It is considered the responsibility of students to meet the requirements and get themselves registered in the first 3 months of their stay in the country.
After registeration, students receive a Irish Residence Permit (IRP) card which remains valid for a year.
