In short, yes it is really important to meet the University of Galway admission requirements . Applicants should also meet the English language requirements to study undergraduate and graduate courses at the university.
Given below are the UGalway requirements for admission at the university:
UG admission requirements:
- Complete class 12th (state boards of education, CISCE or CBSE) with at least 55% score (score will vary from 55% to 85% as per Irish Leaving Cert points)
- Meet the English language requirements
- A Personal Statement is mandatory
- Additional test scores for ACT/SAT

Yes, students can bring their families to study at Imperial College London. However, this does not apply to everyone. Given below are the conditions students need to meet to be eligible to bring their dependants with them.
- Should be enrolled in a PhD or MRes course OR
- Get a financial award from the UK government that covers some or all living costs for a full-time programme (atleast 6 months long) OR
- dependant already has a student dependant immigration permit OR
- have a child who was born after the last renewal of immigration permit OR
- applied same time for an immigration permit as the dependant

Not at all, international students don't have to worry a lot if they meet all the University of Galway admission requirements.
- The reason is, the acceptance rate at this university is 86% which is really good.
- At the end, the international students should have a nice academic profile along with English language proficiency.

Chevening Scholarship is a fully funded financial aid from the UK government to Indian students for a 1-year PG program in the country. It covers the full tuition and visa fees for the program. Students also get a monthly stipend, a travel grant to attend Chevening events, and return air ticket to travel to India, every year.
Indian students need to meet the below conditions to be eligible:
- Agree to return to India for at-least 2 years after scholarship ends
- Prior full-time work experience of 2 years in relevant industry
- Strong academics in UG and Class 12th

Largely, there is only one intake available at the University of Galway, which is in September. This is when the best chances of admission are, because most of the UGalway courses are open then.
And, yes, some courses at the University of Galway do have a January intake also available. The applications for UG and PG courses can be made online via the admission portal.

At Irish Universities like the University of Galway, the September intake is the most important and the biggest intake. Most of the Galway University courses open at this intake. The PG deadlines at UGalway are rolling and vary based on courses.
