No, for most of the Master of Arts programs at NYU, the prior research, professional experience or internships are not really required. Although, these are highly recommended for Indian students to make their application stronger.
The given NYU admission requirements are important though -
- A four-year UG degree
- Academic transcripts
- Statement of purpose
- Letters of recommendation
- English language proficiency

Visiting Indian from Singapore is usually very easy during semester breaks. IT takes only 4 to 6 hours via flight to come back to India. Students need to carry the below documents to come back to India:
- e-Arrival card
- Passport
- Electronic Travel Authorization (ETA)
- Proof of return on onward travel
