Yes, Gannon Uni requires all first and second-year UG students (up to their 4th semester) to live as part of university housing facilities. Students may be exempt from this policy if they meet any of the conditions mentioned below:
- 21 years or older before the start of the academic year
- Married
- Have a legal dependent
- Have lived independently for 2 years (proof required)
Student-athletes receiving athletic scholarships, are required to live on-campus for the first 6 semesters (unless they reside with a parent/guardian within a 25-mile straight-line radius).

No, joining a club or society will not compromise a student's academics at Gannon Uni, as long as one is able to manage their time well. Many societies have strict GPA and study hour requirements for students to clear before being allowed in.
