Yes, HFT Stuttgart is worth it for Indian students. Especially for those looking for practical and industry oriented studies in fields like Engineering, IT, and Architecture. No, learning German is not strictly mandatory for entry to all programs at HFT Stuttgart. This is especially true for students applying to English-taught PG courses.
However, most UG programs are taught in German. To pursue them, students do need to provide valid scores in German proficiency tests like TestDAF or DSH.

For students who want to study in the Uni of Stuttgart courses, German language proficiency is required for some courses. In that case, Indian students can submit the following German language certificates-

With an acceptance rate of 53%, the University of Stuttgart is moderately selective in its admission criteria. Some of the basic admission requirements for international students include:
- German or English translated transcripts of highschool
- CV/Resume
- Proof of Health Insurance
- Proof of German Language Proficiency (TestDaF level 4, Goethe Certificate C1 or C2, German Language Diploma, German Language Test II, Degree certificate for which courses were taught in German, etc.)
- Proof of English Language Proficiency (IELTS | 6.5, TOEFL | 550 paper based, 213 computer based, 79 internet based) or Cambridge (C CPE, B CAE)
