No, HFT Stuttgart is not free for Indian students. The state of Baden-Wurttemberg allows it to charge tuition fees from non-EU/EEA students unlike other public universities in Germany. However, Stuttgart is still more affordable compared to Munich, and offers a comfortable lifestyle at lower costs to Indian students.

A pre-study internship is a mandatory work placement students need to complete for entry to certain UG courses at HFT Stuttgart. It helps students gain hands-on professional experience and basic skills before studies begin.

The internship duration is usually between 2 to 3 months. It is to be completed before studies begin and after having received the university entrance qualification. The internship can be completed in any country.

Note - The university does not help students land the pre-study intern role.
