Candidates must meet the eligibility requirements to apply for a course at Takshashila University powered by Sunstone. The basic eligibility for UG courses is Class 12. Below is the eligibility criteria for all the courses:

| BTech | Class 12 or equivalent examination from any recognised board with Physics, Mathematics as compulsory subjects and optional subjects as Chemistry/ Computer science/ Biology with at least 45% aggregate (40% aggregate for reserved category) |
| BCA | Class 12 with any of the following subjects: Computer Science, Information Technology, Information Practices, Mathematics, Business Mathematics or Statistics |
