TANCET exam preparation can be different for different aspirants. This is because of the difference in the strengths and weaknesses. Some candidates may find Quantitative Ability easy, whereas some might find English usage on an easier side. Most of the candidates prepare well for the TANCET exam in 2-3 month time duration.

The syllabus for CAT and TANCET are quite similar but has only one key difference. Though both exams cover the same core quantitative ability, verbal ability and reading comprehension, and data interpretation & logical reasoning sections. You can definitely use CAT study material for these sections in your TANCET preparation. However, TANCET has an additional section called "Analysis of Business Situations" which is not present in the CAT exam.

None of the sections in the TANCET exam have a higher weightage. It is important to note that all of the five sections of the TANCET MBA exam have equal weightage. Each section contributes 20% to your overall score. The exam tests you on various aspects crucial for business management through these sections.
