For MBA admission, the TANCET exam consists of five portions. Every section of the TANCET exam carries the same amount of weight. Each of the five exam portions carries 20% of the total exam weight, according to Anna University. There are 20 questions in the Eacg segment, for a total of 100 questions. Every year, Anna University administers the Tamil Nadu Common Entrance Test (TANCET) to applicants for MBA and MCA programmes. Applicants can apply for admission to any of the more than 250 MBA colleges in the state of Tamil Nadu by taking the TANCET exam. Test results from the TANCET are accepted for admission to the MBA and MCA degree programmes given by university departments, constituent colleges of Anna University, Annamalai University, government and government-aided colleges, and self-financing colleges in Tamil Nadu.

The selection process for MBA is based on eligibility criteria and the entrance exam. The entrance exams accepted include TANCET. Moreover, during the PPG Business School cutoff 2023, the TANCET last round closing rank stood at 6747 for Master of Business Administration (MBA), while in 2022, the last round closing rank was 6231.

TANCET score ranged between 472-1211 in 2023 for MBA courses for General Category candidates.
Candidates who have completed graduation with at least 60% aggregate are eligible for MBA admission. Aspirants who are in their final year of graduation can also apply for the course. If the candidate gets through the selection criteria, a provisional admission will be offered. However, aspirants should submit the mark sheet and a certificate of passing by a certain date.

HICAS MBA TANCET Cutoffs for the reserved category students may vary every year depending upon the number of factors. TANCET 2023 exam was conducted on March 25 in an offline mode. Initially, Anna University notified the exam date for TANCET 2023 as February 25 and 26. However, later, a change in exam name for engineering courses was seen, which led to postponement of the TANCET exam date. TANCET M.Tech exam is now known as CEETA PG. However, the website for both TANCET and CEETA PG remains the same, TANCET. Annauniv. Edu.
