As per media reports, from 2018 onwards UGC NET will be conducted once a year. So it will be held only once year in month of July

UGC NET 2018 exam is conducted for the posts of Junior Research Fellowship or eligibility for Assistant Professor or both in Indian University.

You can go for UGC NET as assistant lecturer. Or you may opt for side by side B.Ed through correspondence so after completing both the course M.A. In English and B.Ed you can became teacher. Or you may do short-term course of teaching so your experience in teaching will grow and you'll become teacher easily on the basis of your experience.
