Hello Manskh,
The NET Exam is organized for the lectureship in university and the JRF Award candidature. The UGC NET and CSIR NET exam are conducted for the different stream candidates in different subjects. The candidates who have completed the post graduation degree from recognised university with minimum 55% marks are eligible to apply for the NET Exam. Candidates are allowed to apply in their post graduation or its related subjects. As you have completed the M.Ed. (post graduation) in maths, you can apply for the CSIR NET mathematics.

Please check for your eligibility to appear for the APSET 2018 from the criteria mentioned below:
APSET 2018 Eligibility:
Candidates should have secured minimum of 55% marks (without rounding off) in their Masters degree or equivalent exam from any university/college that is recognised by UGC. Aspirants belonging to reserved categories such as OBC (non-creamy layer)/SC/ST/PwD are eligible to apply if they have secured minimum 50% aggregate in their Masters degree or equivalent exam. Paper-I would have general aptitude test, which consists of sections like reasoning ability, comprehension reading, mental ability, and general awareness, etc. There will be 50 questions each of two marks. As per the UGC NET exam pattern 2018 Exam, the candidates must attempt all the 50 questions. Paper-II will have 100 compulsory MCQ (Multiple choices with single correct answer) questions each of two marks. Paper-II covers entire syllabus of the subject selected by the candidate.
