You have to pursue B. Ed to be eligible to teach in schools. It is a 2 year course aimed to train you as a teacher and it is minimum qualification to start your career in teaching. For banking preparation, there are lot of self preparation books, additionally, you can enrol in any coaching institute near your place.

In most of the courses like medical or engineering, college counseling is engaged so that a student can know about the various courses offered by different colleges where he or she can pursue his/her career confidently.
