The full form of B.EL.ED is Bachelor of elementary education. It is an exciting four-year integrated professional degree program for training teachers at the elementary school level.
A B.El.Ed graduate can opt for a professional teaching career or pursue further studies like M.El.Ed or M.Ed, at the postgraduate level. In case you are interested in becoming TGT or PGT, you could also pursue M.A in some teaching subject, after doing B.El.Ed.

1. Eligibility criteria for B.Ed at Delhi University:
Bachelor's degree or any other qualification recognised equivalent thereto from a recognised university with a minimum of 50% marks in aggregate in the 10+2+3 or 11+2+2 pattern, or with a minimum of 55% marks in aggregate in the 10+2+2 or 11+3 pattern.
Have studied at least two subjects at the Bachelors degree level, to be later taken as school teaching subjects, from out of the ones indicated in List - I or List - II given in Item 2 below, with a minimum of 50% marks in aggregate in each of these two subjects.
List I: Accountancy, Psychology, Business studies, Sociology, Philosophy.

Teachers with B.Ed degrees or other teacher training certificates after graduation are called trained graduate teachers and are eligible to teach in junior classes in school, while teachers having a teacher training certificate after post-graduation are called postgraduate trained teachers and are eligible to teach senior classes in school.
TGT should have a Bachelors degree or equivalent from a recognized university with 50% marks or above in aggregate as well as in the concerned subject for recruitment and B.Ed or equivalent qualification from a recognized University.
