The Evergreen State College

Average Indian students qualify to attend The Evergreen State College if they fulfill its entry requirements. Students who wish to study at this college can access admission benefits through their flexible requirements since the college does not enforce standardized testing like SAT/ACT.

Admission Requirements:

• Academic Qualifications: Minimum 2.5 GPA (or equivalent in Indian percentage, approximately 60-65%).

Getting part time job at Evergreen State College is feasible. To avail student employment, students need to apply for financial aid through the Free Application for Student Aid (FAFSA). Students who are awarded work-study can find jobs on the Handshake portal. Students can work up to 12 hours per week. Students are normally awarded around $3,000.00 - $4,050.00 in gross wages for the academic school year. 

Students who are awarded work-study are eligible to work off campus as well. They can do tutoring in schools and community service. They are also allowed to work for community literacy programs, state agencies, private employers, and non-profit organizations.

For on-campus housing students need to submit a housing application. The college has a portal named StarRez file a housing application, check messages from housing staff (these go to your student e-mail too!), submit a maintenance request, check out your roommate information. The college has a safe living community that offer a great balance between the needs for privacy and connection and residence halls for community engagement. The cost of room and board is around $17,310. 

Although living off campus can be somewhat more cost-effective, students must travel to and from college every day, which takes time and money. One benefit of living off campus is that it might provide some solitude and freedom.
