A tuition deposit is a fraction of the tuition fees which is to be paid by students to comfirm their seat.  This is deducted from the fees later. The deposits can vary for different courses as given below.

  • INR 1.8 L for a full master's programme
  • INR 1.2 L for a PG diploma
  • INR 61 K for a PG Certificate

Yes, UoE fees can be paid in installments. This usually involves setting up an instalment plan. The university would deduct money from the card on 3 fixed dates, each year. The instalments are to be paid on the 3rd of each month. The university accepts Mastercard, American Express, and Visa.

The cost of an MS in Computer Science at Edinburgh University is around INR 55.3 L for one year. The programme can be completed in one year. It can be pursued in a part-time format over 3 years. Modules are taught over the first 2 semesters. The programme ends after creating a dissertation project in the summer.

The tuition fee at the University of Edinburgh excludes the additional expenditures that international students must face during their stay in the UK. Some of these basic expenses are accommodation, travel cost, etc.

While there are some scholarships available at the university for undergraduate courses. But there are several scholarships available for postgraduate courses such as MA (ECA) Graphic Design and MSc Design and Digital Media at this university.  

Some of the scholarship schemes and bursaries offered by the University of Edinburgh for one year are: 

  • Andrew Grant Postgraduate Scholarships - £13,000 (INR 15.15L)  

  • Edinburgh College of Art EU Scholarship Scheme (PGT) - £17,500 (INR 20.11L)

Yes, it can be considered a little expensive as International students are required to pay a tuition fee for studies at the University of Edinburgh for their Engineering courses. There is an application fee of EUR 27.50 (INR 2,500) while applying for UG programs at this university through the UCAS portal.
