The University of Edinburgh Scope

The Animation course at the University of Edinburgh offers a wide range of techniques and skills to the students.   

• Students will be able to work as part of a team of animators and even take solo creative projects control. 

• The students can learn exceptional techniques from classical drawn animation, real cameras, lights and puppets to a Render farm using Pixar's Renderman software. Also, Animation production pipeline is learnt at the university. 

• Interaction with other year groups at a thriving studio environment. 

• Opportunities are provided to work with students from other areas of the university, particularly the Reid School of Music and ECA's Film & TV students.
