The selection process for the TIFR GS entrance exam is done in two major ways. Students need to pass the TIFR GS Test. After qualifying for the TIFR GS exam, students need to beat the TIFR GS Cutoff. Then, the colleges will call all the students who pass the cutoff for the interview process.

• Application form fee for females and INR 500, and INR 1000 for male students.

• To get the payment status, it can take up to two days.

Students who want to give the TIFR GS Exam 2026 must take their admit card to their exam centres. Students also need to bring a valid ID proof. The exam date for TIFR GS was December 14, 2025. Students who pass the exam will be invited for the interview process. 

The admit card was released for the academic session 2026-27 for those students who wish to take the TIFR GS exam. The exam was scheduled for December 14, 2025. They had to visit the official TIFR GS portal to download their Hall ticket before the exam date, to get entry to the examination hall.

The TIFR GS commencement of classes is scheduled for August 1, 2026. Those students who pass the TIFR GS Exam will get admission to their preferred courses after the result is declared on the official website.
