Students who want to give the TIFR GS Exam 2026 must take their admit card to their exam centres. Students also need to bring a valid ID proof. The exam date for TIFR GS was December 14, 2025. Students who pass the exam will be invited for the interview process.

In the first morning session, the exam was held for subjects Physics, Chemistry, Computer Science & Learning, Information and Data Sciences, MSc (Wildlife Biology & Conservation from 9:00 am to 12:00 pm. The timing for Mathematics (PhD at CAM) was 9:00 am to 11:00 am.

In the second afternoon session, the exam was held for the subject Biology (JGEEBILS) from 2 to 5 pm. The timing for Mathematics (all other programs) and Science Education was 2:00 pm to 5:00 pm. 

The TIFR GS Application process started on September 27, 2025, for the academic session 2026-27, and the last date for students to complete their application form and to submit the application fee was October 26, 2025. Only those who submit the application form are eligible to download the TIFR GS Admit card to appear for the exam.
