The TIFR GS 2024 exam held on December 10, 2023 was considered to be moderate to easy in the terms of difficulty. A large portion of the Physics questions had varied difficulty levels. Some questions were moderate, while others were said to be on par with the difficulty. Biology and Computer Science sections were relatively easy as said by students.

On December 10, 2023, TIFR GS 2024 was successfully finished in online mode. Applicants should be aware that the exam's results are typically released by the organisation holding the examination 45 days after the exam ends. The results of this year's TIFR GS 2024 were made public on February 17, 2024. On February 17, 2024, the results of the interview procedure for TIFR GS 2024 were made public. After the declaration of the result, students whose name is shortlisted need to apply individually in the colleges which accepts this score.
Each Subject Board, and each Center offering a particular programme in that Subject, has its own criteria for shortlisting. These may include not only the written test marks, but may take into account past academic performance, write-up submitted (if required in your subject), and recommendation letters at the appropriate stage.
Hence applicants are advised to apply in as many institutes as they can to increase their chances of getting admission.

TIFR GS 2024 online registration started on October 3, 2023 by the examination conducting authority. The complete process was online and candidates needed to check the minimal elibility criteria before filling up the TIFR GS 2024 online application form.
The online application portal was opened for registrations for around a month and the last date for filling up the form was November 2, 2023. It was recommended that applicants should use a desktop/laptop since some links could not work on mobile browsers.

The institute does not prescribe any set pattern for the TIFR GS exam for Physics and Chemistry courses. However, the official website informs that the papers for both the subjects will contain multiple-choice questions that candidates need to complete in three hours duration. Also, there will be a negative marking scheme in the exam.
