Hotel Management prepares you for core Hotel functions but your computer knowledge may help you to get job in IT section of a hotel post HM. In tourism and travel you may get a chance similarly like Hotel but chances will be less as compare to hotels, the reason being in tourism and travel most of the recruitment happen at centralised level. So, scope will be less. Thanks.

Any stream candidate can get into tourism trade, there is no specific stream for tourism studies and it depends on the college if they ask for entrance exams for admissions. Most of the colleges do not need any entrance exam for UG course.

Scope is good and vast. There are multiple players involved like hotel manager, tour guide, visa executive, travel agents, tour manager etc. Scope is India is good, but the packages are not that high in the start and therefore if you plan to study abroad, then you have great prospects. In India, the average package is INR 3 lacs - INR 5 lacs whereas abroad it can be up to INR 14 lacs.
