TS POLYCET

All questions are of multiple choice type in TS POLYCET exam. Each question will have a stem and four answers noted against as 1,2,3 and 4. Out of these four, only one is an appropriate answer to the statement given in stem and the other three are distractors. The stem is given both in Telugu and English. The distractors are also given in both languages whenever necessary. All correct responses (Answers) to the questions must be entered by shading/darkening the circle/oval on the OMR response Sheet provided separately for this purpose. The question paper for Common Entrance Test for Admission into Polytechnics consists of 120 Questions. The section-wise question distribution is given below:

• Section 1: Question number 01 to 60 (Mathematics)
• Section 2: Question number 61 to 90 (Physics)
• Section 3: Question number 91 to 120 (Chemistry)
• Section 4: Question number 121 to 150 (Biology)

TS POLYCET 2025 exam is held in offline mode. Candidates shall mark the correct answers in the Optical Mark Reader (OMR) response sheet by shading in Dark the appropriate circle with HB pencil only. They should not use Ball-pen for this purpose, under any circumstances. However, candidates have to use Ball Point Pen (Blue or Black) to fill in details such as the name of the candidate, hall ticket number, name of the examination center, date of examination, candidate’s signature on side 1 of OMR Sheet. If you darken more than one circle against a question, the Answers/Responses to that question will be invalidated and no mark will be assigned to you for that question.

The qualifying marks for Polytechnics Courses officer by SBTET is 30% of 120 marks i.e., 36 Marks in Maths, Physics, Chemistry put together. On the other hand, the qualifying marks for Agricultural Polytechnics of Proof. Jayashankar Agricultural University, Hyderabad, and Veterinary Polytechnics of P.V. Narasimha Rao Veterinary University, Hyderabad and Sri Konda Laxman Telangana State Horticultural University is 30% of 120 marks i.e., 36 Marks in Maths (60/2), Biology, Physics, Chemistry put together.

Candidates belonging to Scheduled castes or Scheduled Tribes shall be assigned ranking by obtaining a minimum one (01) mark in the entrance test. Such candidates with less than 30% marks in POLYCET-2023 shall be eligible to compete for their category of seats during the admission.

To be eligible to apply for TS POLYCET, Candidates should be Indian nationals. Candidates should have passed the S.S.C. examination conducted by the State Board of Secondary Education, Andhra Pradesh/ Telangana, or any other examination recognized as equivalent thereto by the Board of Secondary Education, A.P/TS. such as Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE), Indian Council for Secondary Education (ICSE), National Institute of Open School (NIOS), Telangana Open School Society (TOSS), A.P. Open School Society (APOSS), X class examination conducted by various State Boards of 11 Secondary Education in India with Mathematics as one of the subjects, and obtained at least 35% marks in the qualifying examination. There is no age restriction to apply for the TS POLYCET admission test.

Once the TS POLYCET certificate verification process is completed, the Login Id will be sent to the candidates registered Mobile Number. Take the printout of Manual Option Entry Form from the website. Candidates are recommended to consult their guardians / parents and prepare Manual Option Entry Form as per their preference duly writing institution code, branch code and district code. This is for the convenience of the candidates and to avoid mistake and save time while entering web options. Refer the Manual Option Entry Form prepared by you and enter the options in the website. Candidates are advise to exercise options carefully in the order of priority. The order of priority of options is the important criteria in securing the seat. Candidates must practice as amny options as possible to secure their most preferred seats. Candidate can exercise and modify the options any number of times within the scheduled date. Finally, candidates must take sprint out of the options saved for preference.

Candidates of all categories (OC/EWS/BC/SC/ST/MINORITY), have to book their slots (Selection of Help Line Centre, Date & Time) to attend certificate verification at the nearest or convenient Help Line Centre (HLC) within the scheduled date. To book the slots candidates have to login into the portals and select the lik for slots booking for the certificate verification process. Without payment of the Processing Fee and Slots Booking, the candidate is not permitted to attend for Certificate Verification. The candidate shall be permitted to attend for Certificate Verification only at the Help Line Centre (HLC) on the date and time of slots booked only, as per the schedule.

To pay the TS POLYCET counseling processing fees, visit the official website and click on the link “PAYMENT OF PROCESSING FEE”. Next, register by entering  ICR Number given on TS POLYCET Hall Ticket, Date of Birth as mentioned in the SSC Marks Memo, and SSC Hall Ticket Number. The Basic Information Form is displayed, candidates have to fill in the details regarding Aadhar, Mobile Number and Email Address. Also fill the details of the Caste Certificate and Income Certificate application Number issued by MeeSeva, if applicable. Next, update the information and pay the Processing Fee of INR 300 (for SC/ST) and INR 600 (for others) through online payment (Credit Card / Debit Card / Net Banking)/T- Wallet.

The TS POLYCET counselling process is completely online. For participating in the TS Polycet counselling , candidates have to pay a processing fee and book a slots for document verification, which is conducted offline mode. It means candidates have to report at TS Polycet counselling institutes for document verification. The counselling will be held in 3 grounds that will have the first phase, final phase and the spot round. Admissions through TS POLYCET are strictly based on merit. Only qualified candidates in TS POLYCET can appear in the counselling process. TS POLYCET is conducted for candidates, seeking admission into various polytechnic courses in the Telangana state.
