If two or more candidates have the same UCEED score after considering Part B, Section 2, Section 1, and date of birth, the final decision will be made by the examination authority. Such cases are extremely rare, and the committee ensures a fair and unbiased approach to resolve them.

In case of a tie between two or more candidates with the same total marks, UCEED 2025 has a defined tie-breaking policy. The following criteria will be used in order of priority:
Higher marks in Part B of the exam will be considered first.
If the tie still persists, higher marks in Section 2 of Part A will be considered.
If there is still no resolution, higher marks in Section 1 of Part A will be taken into account.
If the tie remains unresolved, the candidate with an earlier date of birth will be given priority.

UCEED is an Undergraduate Common Entrance Examination for Design, which is a national-level exam conducted by IIT Bombay for admission to the BDes programs at several IITs. The syllabus and exam pattern of UCEED is generally the same for every BDes specialization, be it Interior Design or others.
Coming back to your question, the UCEED exam can be slightly difficult as it includes concept-based questions, mathematical & analysis, general knowledge, and creativity-related questions. But don't worry, you can revise last year's UCEED question paper to have an overview of questions you can expect in the test.

Hi Tarsita,
If your identity documents do not have a middle name and you mistakenly added your father's name as your middle name in the UCEED registration, it may cause an issue during document verification. It is advisable to immediately contact the UCEED authorities through their official email or helpline to rectify the mistake.
Ensure you provide valid identity proof and request a correction if needed. Early communication can help avoid problems later.
Best of luck!

CEPT University (Ahmedabad) – Admission to the Bachelor's in Design program is based on UCEED scores. Although the university does not publish actual UCEED cutoff ranks or scores, 50% is typically a competitive score. The UCEED cutoffs are different every year as they are based on several factors, including the overall difficulty level of the exam and the performance of the applicants. For instance, the general category UCEED 2024 cutoff was 69.89. Apart from that, CEPT also takes into consideration a candidate's HSC score and UCEED performance.
