UGC NET Eligibility

As per the guidelines exam rules you can appear in the CSIR UGC NET under Physical Sciences subject. But before applying for the exam make sure you fulfil all the eligible criteria which is decided by the CSIR. To apply for the CSIR Net Exam candidate must have a Master's degree or enrolled himself in the post-graduation. Educational Qualification: 55% for general category & OBC or 50% for the reserved category. Age Limit: Maximum age limit criteria is 28 years. 5 years of age relaxation is given to reserved category. There is no upper age limit for the post of an Assistant Professor. After meeting the eligibility criteria, you can fill the CSIR NET application form from 9th September to 9th October 2019 for December session. I hope the above information will help you out. As per the NTA guidelines, aspirants who have qualified master's degree or are enrolled in the post-graduation, can apply for the exam. So, to appear for the exam, firstly you have to enroll in LL. M. degree. Before applying for the exam make sure you fulfill other requirements also. To appear for the exam, you have to score at least 55% aggregate marks for General/OBC category or 50% aggregate marks for SC/ST/PwD category in the post-graduation. You can appear for the NET exam after completion of a degree or in the qualifying year. If you want to appear for NET JRF then your age must not exceed 30 years. For LLM aspirants the minimum age limit is 33 years. Or if you want to apply for Assistant Professor then you have no need to fulfill this age criteria.

Applicant should have a Masters degree with at least 55% marks. Applicants from reserved category should have 50 percent number as they are given 5% relaxation in PG marks. Candidates appearing for post-graduation final year exams can also apply. A relaxation of upto 5 years to the candidates who have served in the armed forces subject to the length of service in the armed forces upto the first day of the month of UGC NET session. There are some reservation criteria in UGC NET Exam for SC/ST/OBC/PWD and Transgenders. If you qualify the UGC NET Exam with having 54% aggregate marks in postgraduation, it is fine. You must have secured minimum 55% aggregate marks in postgraduation (5% relaxation for SC/ST/OBC/PWD/Transgenders). There is no age limit if you want to apply for the post of Assistant Professor. But for JRF the maximum age limit is 30 years.
