Registered candidates are expected to appear in the entrance examination that takes place in the middle of July. No, the UGPET score is mandatory to get admission to a DPharm course at Lucknow University. The UGPET entrance examination for the DPharm course is ussually held in the mid of July every year. UGPET is conducted in an offline mode. Candidates can take the exam at the designated test centres as notified by Lucknow University. Hence, candidates are not allowed to get admission through management quota for the DPharm course.

In the scenario, if two or more aspirants for the BPharm course at LU secure the same marks/ranks in the entrance examination, the university follows some rules for allocating the seat to deserving candidates, rules are:
- The candidate, who has secured a higher percentage of marks in Class 12 or equivalent examination will be given preference.
