University of Madras library facilities include facilities for visually impaired students, a book bank, research services that are available online, and many more. UNOM Madras University has a sports field with good infrastructure facilities and also provides systematic and scientific training for the students of affiliated colleges. More than 17,000 (Seventeen Thousand) students get competitive experience from the zonal and Inter-zonal competitions organised by Madras University every year.

At the University of Madras, TANCET scores are accepted for admission to its full-time MBA courses. This test is conducted by Anna University. The university has released the exam schedule. As per that, the results for the 2025 session were released on Apr 23, 2025.

Yes, Madras University does grant direct admissions to the MBA programme. However, direct admissions are only permissible for the distance MBA course offered by the Institute of Distance Education. Students who wish to enrol in the distance MBA course just have to fulfil the eligibility criteria and fill out an application form. However, for full-time MBA course, the university does not offer direct admissions.
