The University of Manchester is much tougher to get into than University of West London. The University of Manchester has an acceptance rate of around 40-50% while the University of West London has an acceptance rate of around 83%, suggesting it is almost twice as tough to get into.

US World and News Report ranked University of Manchester at #68 in the Global Universities category which is a decline from 2025 as this ranking was #67. From the ranking data it can be concluded that the rankings for this university have been constantly declining since the year 2024. In 2024 the Global University ranking was #63.

According to the table given below for difference among the similarly ranked UK universities,   The University of Bristol ranks somewhat similar to University of Manchester, although the rankings for this university are fluctuating since 2023.

For the UK-based universities only, The Guardian University Guide rankings are started. Some of the few indicators that are used to compute the rankings of these universities are entry standards, student-staff ratio, teaching quality, feedback, career prospects, etc.

University of Manchester ranks at #31, which is a decline of 7 spots as the university ranked higher in the year 2024 which was rank #24. The rankings given by The Guardian for this University are fluctuating since the year 2023. The Guardian rankings are fluctuating for most of the courses offered under this university.

The Complete University Guide rankings is looking at the Universities in the UK on a lot of parameters that can be considered important when choosing a university. According to the ranking data by this ranking body University of Manchester ranks at #22 among the best universities in the world which shows a decline from 2024 as it was #19.

Financial Times Ranking is one of the dependable rankings when talking of MBA or Business Schools rankings. This ranking body has been publishing rankings for the Business and Management programs since 1999. For GMBA, Financial Times (FT) ranks #46 in the year 2024 which is constant from the year 2023, but an improvement from the year 2022.
