Securing part-time work while studying at the University of Manchester isn't so hard. There are plentiful on-campus and off-campus job opportunities offered by the university and various places in the neighbouring area, particularly in retail businesses such as Topshop or H&M.

However, heavy competition exists owing to numerous students vying for work. Support and advertisements concerning jobs requiring certain skills or experiences come under the purview of the Careers Service. One thing to note is that while part-time work can supplement income, the student should never rely on it for the payment of tuition and living expenses.
