The International English Language Testing System (IELTS) scores requirements for the admission at the University of Maryland vary as per the level of degree and the course selected. The IELTS requirements at the university is minimum 7 score and for the Maryland English Institute score admission the univeristy 6.5 or less.

Yes, the University of Maryland has a test-optional popicy that means, studnets who are appling at the university can decide whether they are willing to submiit their standarized test scores or not as the university with not review the application on the basis of standarized test scores but the scores submitted at the university will help the students to ehnace their portfolio and can be beneficaila for the scholarship programs and awards.
