UMBC acceptance rate is around 74%, whereas, the University of Maryland, College Park acceptance rate is around 45%. This indicates that University of Maryland, College Park is more selective. However, both the universities are reputable. Both universities excel in academics. UMD is known for the study fields like Business, Engineering, Journalism, among others.
