The UNE ranks highly as part of several prominent ranking platforms. Shiksha Popularity Rankings ranks it #38 as part of its country level rankings. While the Good Universities Guide has given it 5 stars for overall student experience for the last 19 years consecutively.

UNE is part of one of the oldest public institutions in Australia, housing over 22,000 students arriving from over 70 countries to pursue UG, PG & research level courses.
The institute is a preferred choice among international students as the cost of living & studies is much more affordable as compared to some other Australian cities & also because of the flexibility of distance learning, as the institute offers its courses that can be pursued in online mode.
