Either, you must have work experience or must have an extraordinary profile, so that they admit you despite not having work experience. See, you will be competing with applicants in senior managerial roles etc. Figure out, why a university will choose you over them, if you have the right skills they will definitely accept. University of Pennsylvania is one of the top ranking universities in USA and also in the world. Thousands and thousands of students apply and only the best of the best gets selected. This indicates very good GPA is expected, around 8 on a scale of 10. Besides, very good extracurricular activities are also required. In cases where GPA is not very high, it is the student's extracurricular activities which will help him/her. Very good SAT and SAT subject tests scores or ACT, TOEFL etc. will be required. If you are applying for Masters you must take the GRE.
