To get admission to USF, a GRE score is required. A minimum of 164 is required in Quantitative and 150 score is required in Verbal score. Besides meeting the GRE requirements, the applicants are required to meet the following entry requirements:
- A bachelor’s degree (minimum with 3.0 GPA)
- English language proficiency score
- Academic transcripts
- Statement of purpose
- 3 letters of recommendation
- Resume
- Mathematical preparation equivalent

USF accepts the ELP test scores of TOEFL / PTE / IELTS / Duolingo for graduate courses. The minimum scores required in these tests are given below:

International graduate students of USF may qualify for a Graduate Research or Teaching Assistantship. The requests for assistantships should be made at the time of the application for admission. To be eligible for assistantships, the applicants must be accepted to a graduate degree program. They must also maintain an overall minimum GPA and degree programme GPA of 3.0. There are a few other scholarship requirements that the applicants must meet and can be checked from the official website.

Yes, USF offers scholarships to international students. First-year applicants are considered for merit-based scholarships automatically after they are granted admission to the university. A few of the international scholarships for UG students are the USF Green & Gold Presidential Award, USF International Student Scholarship, USF Green & Gold Directors Award, etc. The amount for scholarships varies as per the scholarships. It ranges from USD 4,000 - USD 48,000.
