In the 2023-24 academic year, the university received 30,355 undergraduate applications, extended 24,090 offers, and enrolled 4,995 students, resulting in an acceptance rate of approximately 79%, which makes it a relatively easier school to get into. 

The students are required to meet the below mentioned criteria for being eligible to apply at the University of York: 

• Letters of Recommendation- 2
• Resume/CV
• Official Transcripts of Academic Qualifications
• Evaluation Report proving the validity of Bachelor's degree or other equivalent
• IELTS: 6 - 7.5, PTE: 55 - 61, Duolingo: 105 - 120
• Bachelor's Degree from NAAC accredited University.

The international students must  gather LORs, SOP, Official transcripts of academic credentials, English test scores, SAT, ACT, GMAT or GRE score, Bank support letter in case of a loan before you apply to the University.

Here are the steps to complete you online application process:

Step 1-Choose a program: International students have to choose a programme among various bachelor's, diploma, and certificate programs and the eligibility criteria.

Step 2- Fill out the application form: Now go to the official website, and navigate through the common app to apply for the programme and fill out the required details like academic history, essay, English language score, and more.

Step 3-Pay application fee: Students must pay the application fee of GBP 28.50 or INR 3, .072 for up to five courses.

Step 4-Wait for a response: The University of York will review the application and within a few weeks they will provide an offer letter to join the program.

Step 5-Pay tuition fees: To get enrolled in the first semester, international students have to pay tuition fees according to the course.
