RIG Institute offers admission to aspirants based on their entrance test scores. The institute conducts a written test to shortlist aspirants for admission. Selected candidates have to further pass a personal interview round for admission. Hence, there is no direct admission for most of the offered courses. Aspirants need to participate in all rounds of selection for admission.

Candidate must have passed class 12th or equivalent by the AIU or Intermediate or 2-year Pre-University exam conducted by a recognised Board/ University with Physics and Mathematics as compulsory subjects along with one of the Chemistry/Biotechnology/Biology/ Technical Vocational subject. Candidates must have passed class 12th/equivalent examination in 2020, 2021 or appearing in 2022. There is no age limit for the candidates.

ITM Aligarh does not offer a 100% scholarship at all. However, they provide scholarships to financially weaker students. These mainly include the UP Government scholarship and the AKTU official scholarship. The amount of scholarships varies based on various criteria such as the category to which the student belongs, the financial condition of the student, scores obtained by the student in the entrance exam, or the previous qualification, etc.

The placement percentage of the 2019-2023 batch is 75.6 approximately. The total number of final year students is 127 and students who got placed are 96%. SRMCEM has demonstrated a strong track record in student placement over recent years.Further, more than 250 companies visited the campus and 888 offers were made during the placement drive of 2023. Other than this, the placement rate recorded during SRMCEM BTech, MCA and MBA placements 2023 was 66.15%, 76.09% and 79.31%, respectively.
