The candidates are selected on the basis of the entrance exam for the MBA course at VBSPU Jaunpur. The university accepts Purvanchal University Combined Admission Test (PUCAT)/ UPSEE scores followed by Counselling. Candidates must clear the eligibility criteria to be able to apply for the course. The criteria is that the candidate must have a Bachelor's degree with a minimum of 45% aggregate (50% aggregate for SC/ST/OBC) and 50% aggregate for Finance & Control. Candidates appearing in the final year of the examination can also apply.

Yes, the university campus offers separate boys and girls hostels with fixed capacities to accommodate these students.
Boys’ Hostel: There are four separate buildings of Boys hostel. Each room is two seated with cot, cupboard, study table and chair available for each student. It has all the necessary facilities, students’ mess, dining hall, recreation room, study room, internet facility, gymnasium hall, badminton court, etc. The Hostel Warden Office is inside the hostel building to manage hostel activities.
