Yes, if you are eligible to get a seat there you can join. Placement wise VIT is really good and even it is ranked as No 1 private institute 4th time in a row by Indian Government.

Both the campuses are not going to make much difference. You have to choose which campus you want to join in at the time of counselling.

There is very less chance in VIT, Chennai CSE, I think that might be closed under 5000. But you can still sit for counselling, might be you can get something good.

The only and most dreadful disadvantage of joining the Chennai campus rather than the Vellore is the environment, the people you find in Vellore is far more interesting in their respective field than the Chennai campus.

Please check their official website for the details regarding examination centres. VITEEE is a very famous examination and lots of students do appear in the examination so it will have centres across all major cities.

It depends upon the rank you get in VITEEE. If you are in top 10k you then you'll get a scholarship of Rs. 50k and in top 20k you will get scholarship of Rs. 25k.
