VELS School of Maritime Studies is situated at Thalambur, Chennai, near Navalur on the IT Highway of Tamilnadu, off the old Mahabalipuram Road. In the vast campus along with spacious building for class rooms, workshops and library, separate laboratories have been provided for Physics, Electrical Machinery, Control Systems, Power Electronics, Electronic devices, Electronic Communication, Digital devices and Seamanship. The Placement at VELS School of Maritime Studies for B.Tech Marine Engineering is very good compared to the other courses in this college.The average package for B.Tech is 5 Lacs and the highest package is almost 8 lakh. No, VELS school Of Maritime Studies is not consider the CUET score.The college and university have own entrance exam and they take admission through some national level entrance exam.And CUET is a central based entrance examination but this college has not any seat for CUET councelling based students.

The average package for B.Sc students at VELS school of Maritime Studies is 5 Lacs for entry level role.But if any student learn some extra ordinary skill then they can expect more than 12 to 13 Lacs salary package at joining.But in other B.Sc course the placement record is not good like health Science and Science B.Sc average package is 2.5 lakh.

Maritime Operations, B.Sc FIRE SAFETY AND HAZARD MANAGEMENT has more placement at VELS School of Maritime Studies.Because this school is mainly for Maritime Studies and so many company from maritime sector are visit in this school every year for hiring, like FLEET, K-line, MOL, APJ shipping, Molta etc. company.

VELS school of Maritime Studies is a Good College for B.Sc .Because the college fees is affordable if anyone looking for best private college.The campus is just amazing and so many stream and courses is available here.Science, Medicine, Health Science and so many computer based B.Sc course is available here.And the placement records is also average from this college.So, according to me it;s can be a good college for you.

For M.E/M.Tech -Merit based on GATE/ TANCET/ Vels Entrance Examination and percentage of mark secured in the qualifying examination.
For B.E/B.Tech - Merit based on Vels Entrance Examination and merit based on percentage of marks secured in the qualifying examination.
For B.Tech Marine Engineering - Merit based on percentage of marks secured in the qualifying in IMUCET examination together with 10+2 marks.
For Management Course - Merit based on percentage of marks secured in the qualifying examination.
For MBA - The varsity accepts CAT, MAT and XAT scores for M.B.A. admissions. Candidates can also appear for the VEE.

Yes, VELS school of Maritime Studies in very highly expensive beacuse compared to other college and university this college semester fees is very high almost one Lacs INR is fees for per semester for some TOP courses. And for normal courses the fees are also very high. So, this college is very much expensive than other college.
