Yes, Lala Lajpat Rai University of Veterinary and Animal Sciences is a good choice for B.Tech in Dairy Technology. The programme is very good and focuses on important skills for the dairy industry. Students get hands-on experience at the university's Experimental Dairy Plant. In India aspiring students, for Veterinary Science and Animal Husbandry courses usually need to take an entrance exam. The National Eligibility cum Entrance Test (NEET-UG) organized by the National Testing Agency (NTA) is the exam. NEET-UG scores are recognised by veterinary colleges nationwide for the Bachelor of Veterinary Science and Animal Husbandry (B.V.Sc. & A.H.) degree. While some states or universities may have their entrance exams NEET-UG remains the standard for many institutions. Candidates who pass the exam are chosen based on their rank through a counseling process.

The cutoff for veterinary seats in Karnataka through the KCET is around 2000 or below. To be considered for a seat, you must be among the top 2000 candidates.

Looking at the previous year KCET cutoff for veterinary seat, to keep yourself in a safer zone, you must score atleast 60th percentile and that your rank must vary from 1500 to 2000. Try to score 110+ in the CET paper, if you are from SC category list.
