No, Vilnius University does not guarantee on-campus accommodation. Total number of accommodations is limited along with high demand because of which students are advised to submit online application timely so as to avoid any rejections later. Apart from on-campus accommodations, the university has tie ups with private housing providers as well so students can choose off-campus options without any fear.

Lithuania is considered one of the the safest countries in Europe. Vilnius University has taken various measures to make the campus safe for the students. There are mentoring services that help students with academic growth and personal development. Students are also offered counseliing services related to mental health. Cases of any sexual harassment, violence, discrimination or persecution are very well taken care of.

Vilnius University was established in 1579 while Vilnius Gediminas Technical University was established much later in 1956. On the basis of ranking, Vilnius university is ranked at a better position than that of Vilnius Gediminas Tech Uni. Vilnius university offers various programs in various majors such as business and management, IT and software, Science etc., whereas Vilnius Gediminas Tech Uni only undergraduate programme in Engineering.

Vilnius University requires following documents. Failing to submit any may cause trouble in the admission process.
- Academic transcripts
- Translation of documents with the translator's signature if the documents are in another language.
- Motivation letter
- Valid copy of Passport
Along with these, students must have an entry visa and health insurance before arriving to the country.

The annual tuition fee for international students ranges between INR 2.9L - 4.9L for undergraduate programs and INR 2.57 L - 7.57 L for master's programs. The fees for integrated programs range between INR 13L - 14L. The average cost of living in Lithuania is around EUR 540 (INR 54.3K), which is considered slightly affordable.

Vilnius University offers need-based and merit-based scholarships to international students. Some of these scholarships are: Scholarship for Research Achievements, Incentive Scholarship, Scholarship for Social Activities, Community Support Scholarship, and Social Scholarship. Apart from this, Department of Economics and Business Administration and Institute of Relation and Poilitical Science also provide tuition fee waivers.
